Gone Vintage!

My hubby and I very much enjoy thrift store shopping, especially since the weather is starting to seem much more Spring / Summer-like. In the area of Montana we live in, I have been thrilled with the quality of thrift stores and vintage finds I have come across! There are fabulous finds from estate sales, thrift stores, antique stores, and even pawn shops have had some great vintage items! Last fall I found this lovely clock cabinet circa 1901piece (which I am still trying to figure out what I want to do with...) from a local thrift store.

And so this past weekend we decided to do a little shopping and we came across some great items! While talking and perusing the crowded shelves full of vintage dishes, knick-nacks, and vases we decided it might be a good idea to include a vintage section at our Etsy Shop. That's right...Havok Designs has gone vintage!! These are the first three fabulous items we have just listed:

I love the way the sunlight passes through this glass piece. The color is so pretty! It would work as a lovely vintage decor item or as a beautiful office paperweight, but would be prettiest displayed in a window.

These cute looking vintage Tintex Brand Dye/Tint boxes are not only good-looking but are still useable! That's right, one box comes UNOPENED with the original plastic packaging on it and the other comes in great condition with a packet of dye still in the original envelope.

I myself pretty much fell in love with this next piece for its bold, mid-century gold star graphics, its sophistication and the fabulous condition in which it is currently in. But instead of keeping it all to myself, I decided to share it with the world! It's a Corning 6 cup coffee carafe with a removable lid and is made of Pyrex glass. There are not cracks, chips or major scratches...only minor scuffs on the gold rim of the handle (shown in the 2nd picture.)

I have some more vintage finds that I'll be adding to our shop throughout the week. I'm pretty excited about this new addition. Plus that means I get to go shopping a little more often ;)

Thanks for stopping by!
